The metallic-on-white combo is crazy in right now, and it’s also got the perfect balance of crafty and chic to look fab next to Mom’s furniture. Learn how to make this gorgeous gilded succulent planter with these instructions via A Pumpkin & A Princess.

Floral Letters

Send Mom a floral message to brighten up her spring! Whether you opt for the ever-popular ‘MOM’ message or choose another word (like ‘HAPPY’ or ‘HOME,’), you can make this wall décor with little to no DIY experience – trust us!

Materials

  • Cardboard letters (from local craft store)
  • Fake flowers
  • Floral Styrofoam
  • X-acto knife
  • Hot glue gun and hot glue

Steps

  • Decide on your word and select the cardboard letters.
  • Using your X-acto knife, cut the floral Styrofoam into smaller pieces to fill each of the cardboard letters completely.
  • Hot glue the floral Styrofoam to the inside of the cardboard letters and let dry.
  • Insert flowers into floral Styrofoam until no Styrofoam is visible.
  • Mount letters onto large frame or board, or else gift letters individually to be placed and hung.

Chalk Paint Vase

There’s no vase better than a handmade vase! Give your mom something special – something you made all your own – with a single vase or set of three. Chalk paint is ridiculously easy to use, so it won’t take you long to customize (or distress, for that perfectly aged look)! Follow these instructions via Green Table Gifts.

Make your mom smile each and every morning! Waking up to a mug full of coffee is essential for any on-the-go mom, but you can make that mug even more special by customizing it yourself. These West Elm-inspired Sharpie mugs are unbelievably easy and cute, and DIY-ing them saves you major cash. Score the inside scoop on how to make them via Put a Bird on It.
