5 Easy Ways To Do A Dorm Room Makeover

Whether you have finished finals or you’re still chugging along, summer is in sight and with it brings many opportunities for new experiences and change. One thing you might want to think about changing before you totally erase school from your mind are your dorm room accessories. It’s never too late in your college career to revamp your living space, and if you had an especially tough year then a new look for your room could be just what you need to start on a better note next year. So before you pack everything up for the summer, take a look at how you can make over your collegiette home!

1. Bedding

Even though you might not get to spend as much time sleeping in your bed during college, there’s nothing better than lying down on a fluffy comforter and snuggling under soft sheets. But after a year of you sleeping in your bed and your friends sitting on your bed during gossip sessions, your college bedding can get pretty worn down. Since the color scheme of your comforter usually is a main component of your overall room color scheme, check out RHL Dorm Room Bedding to find the look that fits you and your room design the best!

2. Alarm Clock

There is nothing worse than the beeping sound of an alarm clock waking you up for class much too early in the morning. When you have to hear the same sound day after day, it can begin to have such a negative connotation that sometimes you begin to not respond to the sound as quickly as usual. So try a new clock with a different sound, or even a clock that lets you change the alarm. Radio clocks are great too, because you never know what will be playing on the radio when it goes off.

3. Rugs

Between late night study sessions, cooking disasters, and creative crafting projects, a lot of college activities can create some pretty big messes. And sometimes the mess can get hidden in the rugs, so you might not know really how dirty it is. You can find tons of options for dorm room rugs in varying size and color, and at great prices for a college budget too! Find something new and fresh so you and your floor can go start the new year with a clean slate.

4. Towels

It’s always a great feeling to step out of a warm shower and into a soft towel, but if your towels are old and worn out, then you don’t get that same comfy feeling. Switch out your towel set for a brand new feeling, or even just find a bright new color to spruce up your bathroom.

5. Photos

Even something as simple as switching out the pictures in frames or on your walls can give your room a new vibe. Instead of displaying the same photos from your first year in college or your high school years, update your memories that were caught on film. It’s always great to remember the old times, but add to your photo collage to see how you and your friends have grown.
