Editorial Intern
New York, NY

KYLE CAVAN (cah-vin or /ˈkævən/; Irish) is a new women-owned college jewelry company based out of New York City. Drawing inspiration from architecture, fashion and the lifestyle of stylish students and alumni across the country, KYLE CAVAN is on a mission to inject some much-needed newness into the college jewelry market.

To produce enduring jewelry, with an attention to craftsmanship that stands for something greater than ourselves as individuals - jewelry that connects us to each other, our roots, and the places and people who helped shape us.

KYLE CAVAN is looking for a superstar who is passionate about content creation and writing to join our small team. The Editorial Intern will support the launch of our blog, Due North, creating content, researching story ideas and coordinating interviews with influential students and alumni.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who excels in a fast-paced, test-and-learn environment and deeply believes in the KYLE CAVAN mission.

  1. Familiarize yourself with the KYLE CAVAN brand, ensuring that each topic that is presented on the blog reflects our voice and overall aesthetic.
  2. Review, edit and organize existing interviews / articles and prepare them for posting.
  3. Research and write new stories around our content buckets (e.g. style, college, travel, interviews etc.). Our goal is to elevate the conversation around class jewelry.
  4. Develop a content calendar that compliments the rest of the marketing plan - e-mail / social media.
  5. Research influential students and alumni that are making a name for themselves, leading outreach to and developing interviews.
  6. Generate weekly reports that measure the blog’s web traffic and familiarize yourself with SEO tactics to increase growth and viewership.
