Hamilton lovers near and far are rejoicing—yesterday, we learned that we have the opportunity to join the Hamilton cast. As we’ve seen on the official Hamilton website as well as the musician Questlove’s Instagram, there’s going to be an open casting call for new actors to join the cast.
That’s right, Lin-Manuel Miranda is literally plucking talented humans off of the street and throwing them into his work of art… and you could be one of them! Miranda’s version of the American Revolution has always been known for its diverse cast. It weaves actors and actresses of all colors and nationalities into a story that has historically belonged solely to white men and women. We always knew Miranda was a musical genius but this announcement is arguable the best development the show has made yet.
