Selena Gomez’s Speech About Taylor Swift Made Me Want to Go Hug My BFF

Taylor Swift’s Reputation tour is in full swing and filled with a snake stage set-up, thousands of fans and plenty celebrity cameos. One of those cameos was recently Taylor’s BFF Selena Gomez, who appeared at the Pasadena tour date on May 19 to sing “Hands To Myself” with her bestie. It was killer, of course (I’ll put TSwift’s clip of it below so you can see for yourself).

Duet aside, what happened after will make you want to cry tears of joy.

I mean, I could but why would I want to? @selenagomez

Selena decided to make a surprise speech about her bestie and it was so sweet that it’ll make you want to go squeeze your best friend and tell her how much she means to you. “I have to say thank you to my best friend of 12 years, almost 13,” Selena said. “The reason why she has been one of my best friends is because this person has never, ever judged a single decision I’ve made. She’s always met me where I’ve been, she’s encouraged me when I’ve had nothing to be encouraged about. I don’t know if I’d be as strong as I am if I didn’t have you or your family, because you’ve changed my life.”

The speech included a playful punch in the arm from Tay while Selena quickly said, “She’s going to kill me after this.” Selena then looked to the crowd and thanked them. “Honestly thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting someone that I know that is the most beautiful, strong, independent woman I’ve ever met. So thank you, as her best friend.”

Ugh, this is too sweet.

Taylor was clearly moved by her bestie’s words and though she didn’t say much in the moment, the singer posted on Instagram afterward to express her love for SelGo. “To the person I could call at any time of day, who has been there no matter what… you absolutely KILLED IT tonight and everyone was so excited to see you,” the caption read. “I love you, and 60,000 people at the Rose Bowl loved you too.” Could they be any cuter?

Selena also made a post to add to all this mush that I’m LIVING for, BTW. “I am grateful for those I surround myself with,” she wrote in the caption. “And this woman right here happens to be one of my favorites. Love our tradition and I love you.” OMG I’m crying.

I love their friendship so much, it makes me want to be a part of it. Are you guys taking applications?
