The ‘Riverdale’ Season 3 Trailer Was Just Released & We’re So Shook

Every fan of Riverdale can agree that there’s never an episode that isn’t a rollercoaster of emotions. Shifting rom heart-pounding, edge-of-your-seat suspense to snarky comments from Cheryl and then to Bughead’s romance, there’s never a boring moment – and season three is going to be no different.

At San Diego Comic-Con this past weekend, Riverdale’s first season three trailer was released and it looks absolutely wild, as Elle reported. The season picks up a few months after season two ended, right around Labor Day weekend, and some crazy things are happening.

For just a quick recap of some of the most important details, here’s what you need to know:

  1. Cheryl and Toni are finally together
  2. The black hood is back and scarier than ever
  3. Archie is out of jail on bail
  4. Apparently they all had “the worst summer ever”
  5. Polly is roasting her babies over a bonfire with her cult

If you weren’t expecting that last one, don’t worry – neither were we. At Comic-Con, Lili Reinhart talked about the strange scene, saying that after Betty returns from a summer internship “Alice and Polly kind of attack her. Their new, weird spirituality with the farm makes them tell her that she needs to listen to her soul and confront her problems. So Betty wants to stay far, far away from them.”

Some season three secrets were revealed at Comic-Con as well. According to Camila Mendes, Veronica is working at Pop’s for the summer to make her own money and “show that she’s not a spoiled, rich girl. She’s trying to prove herself to everybody.” Jughead’s sister Jellybean and their mother will be coming to town, Archie’s murder trial will be shown, Kevin and Moose are now going to be a couple, and there’s going to be another musical episode.

Season three is going to be one hell of a ride.
