When you ask a celebrity a question on social media, you just might get back an answer that will break the internet.
On Thursday, Nicki Minaj confirmed rumors that she’s dating Eminem after answering a fan’s question on Instagram. The rapper took to Instagram to promote a new single she’s featured on—YG’s Big Bank, alongside 2 Chainz and Big Sean—when one of her followers boldly commented, “You dating Eminem???” to which Nicki replied, “Yes.”

While it’s unknown if Nicki was being serious in her response to the inquiring fan, she and Eminem have long known each other, having worked together on her hit 2010 single “Roman’s Revenge.”
Interestingly enough, Nicki name-drops Eminem in her new song. “Uh oh / Back again / Back to back Maybach, stack the M’s,” Minaj raps. “Told ’em I met Slim Shady, bag the M / Once he go black, he’ll be back again.”
At the start of January, it was confirmed that Nicki had parted ways in December with ex-boyfriend Nas, after the strain of a long-distance relationship proved “too much” with Nicki living on the west coast in Beverly Hills and Nas based in New York City.
So are Nicki and Em really, truly dating? Or is this a way to intro another collab in the works? Guess we’ll have to wait for those receipts…
