Everyone remembers Becca Kufrin, the one who was dumped by Arie on last season of The Bachelor, after he changed his mind about which of the two finalists he wanted to choose. Becca was engaged to Arie until right before the finale, where he changed his mind and broke things off with her in front of millions. It was a complete surprise to both Becca and viewers.
“I went through the grieving process. I was confused and angry and all the emotions you go through a heartbreak with,” Becca told People.
But when she was offered the opportunity to become the next Bachelorette, she jumped at the chance. It’s a good thing she did, because she’s found true love (for real this time) and she’s already engaged to her new man. “It was the happiest moment of my life,” she said. “And it feels so good to say it. I still pinch myself, like, did that all just happen? It’s been a whirlwind.”
She continued, “I’m so excited to start this season and for everyone to see everything that happened,” she says. “It’s been crazy, but it was so worth it.”
We’re so happy for her! After the heartbreak she endured last season, Becca deserves to find someone special.
The Bachelorette premieres Monday, May 28 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC. We’ll for sure be watching to try and guess who’s her new husband-to-be.
