The World’s Largest Chick-fila-A is Now Open in New York City

Chick-fil-A is taking a big bite out of the Big Apple, opening the world’s largest Chick-fil-A location in New York City. The restaurant, which opened on March 30, has five stories, including a basement prep kitchen and three upper levels with floor-to-ceiling windows specifically meant for dining, Food & Wine Magazine reports.

This location can seat up to 140 customers, and has two kitchens, ABC News reports.

It’s also the narrowest Chick-fil-A restaurant in the world, coming in at only 15-feet in width, Food & Wine reports.

According to ABC News, the restaurant is also very tech-savvy with mobile and in-store technology to help diners order their food more efficiently and get their their food quickly.

The site, according to Today, is located only half of a mile from Ground Zero and the 9/11 Memorial, and has a rooftop terrace where Chick-fila-A diners can enjoy views of the One World Trade Center while eating the famous chicken sandwich.

The front of the restaurant features some elements in its façade that pays homage to and gives the impression of the Twin Towers, Today reports.

The Chick-fil-A location will remain locally owned by borough resident Luke Cook.

“My family and I are honored to be opening a Chick-fil-A restaurant in lower Manhattan, a part of the city we’ve always loved. We’re so happy to be living, working and raising our children in the most vibrant city and neighborhood in the world. We want this restaurant to be a gathering place for everyone in the community,” Cook said in a press release.

The location will be open Monday through Saturday like all other Chick-fil-A locations.
