Target is Giving Us Another Reason to Spend More Time There

We already know how dangerous a shopping trip to Target can be. You go in needing toothpaste, and leave with tons of school supplies you never needed, enough new home decor to furnish a new apartment, kitchen gadgets you probably won’t actually use, and most of the stuff in the dollar section. After a shopping trip like that, it’s no wonder you’re always hungry enough for a stop by Target’s in-store cafe, where you’ll find pizza, hot dogs, nachos and the like…

Until now. Starting this October, Target is replacing those unhealthy fast food options with pressed juices, kale and edamame salads and more. While Pizza Hut will remain (so you can breathe a sigh of relief), the chain will begin serving “artisan” styles including margherita and barbeque chicken. If you’re already starting to save up for a trip to Target later this fall, pause for a moment—the new food options are being introduced to a few key markets across 14 stores to begin with. Here’s to hoping these customers love their beet and carrot juices and kale salads, because we’re thinking these choices sound like the perfect way to top off a weekend trip to Target.
