Taco Bell Introduces Taco with Crispy Chicken Shell

As if Taco Bell wasn’t already crave-worthy enough, there are now two of the restaurant chain’s California locations selling tacos with a shell made of fried chicken. The fast food mash-up is called the ‘Naked Chicken Cripsy Taco’. The discovery was brought to the public’s eye by Foodbeast, a website that publishes food-related news.

This crazy crossover is (so far) only available in Lost Hills and Bakersfield, CA. At the Lost Hills location, the taco is available for $2.49. It’s slightly pricier in Bakersfield, running $2.99, but is also available as a combination meal with a large drink and an additional regular Crispy Taco for $4.99.

This phenomenon is hardly surprising, considering that both Taco Bell and Kentucky Fried Chicken (as well as Pizza Hut) are owned by the same parent corporation, Yum Brands. It’s also not the first time that Yum Brand foods have crossed paths. For example, the ‘Chizza‘ was released by KFC in July of this year, which is a pizza with fried chicken crust. This sounds pretty delicious, so if you’re a lucky collegiette who lives close enough to the two Cali locations–we think you need this in your life.
