Time to Celebrate! Watch ‘Celebrating America,’ a Post-Inauguration Concert Event, Right Here on Her Campus

Well kids, we did it. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are finally in the White House! After the official swearing-in ceremony and an inaugural address fit for the president of the United States, in which Biden pledged to be a president for all of the people – fighting just as hard for those who didn’t support him as those who did – and promised to repair our alliances, many of us can finally breathe a sigh of relief. Though we still have a ways to go, it’s comforting to know that our president now believes in a better world for everyone – even those that disagree with him. “With unity, we can do great things, important things,” President Biden said in his address. “We can right wrongs.” I can’t wait to see him begin doing so, but first, we can take an evening to celebrate what the future holds!

And to do so, Inauguration Day is wrapping up with a concert event this evening, January 20, at 8:30pm EST, hosted by Tom Hanks. Featuring remarks from Biden and Harris and performances representing the incredible diversity in American talent, including Jon Bon Jovi, Foo Fighters, John Legend, Demi Lovato, Bruce Springsteen and Justin Timberlake, with additional remarks from Kerry Washington, Eva Longoria and more, there couldn’t be a better way to end the day.

If you missed earlier Inauguration Week 2021 events, you can still stream them here on Her Campus, including America United: An Inauguration Welcome Event Celebrating America’s Changemakers, United We Serve: A Celebration of the National MLK Day of Serviceand the Nationwide COVID-19 Memorial Service.
