Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Have Officially Sent Out Their Wedding Invitations & They're Beautiful

Invitations for the wedding of the year have officially been sent out, according to Yahoo! News. Kensington Palace confirmed via Twitter that the invitations, which have been sent out to 600 guests, were sent out.

Along with their post, Kensington Palace included a photo of the invitations for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding, which is to take place at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor on May 19, and the invitations are absolutely fit for a royal wedding.

According to PEOPLE Magazine, Kensington Palace wrote, “Using American ink on English card, the invitations are printed in gold and black, then burnished to bring out the shine, and gilded around the edge.”

They are absolutely stunning, and how perfect to include both English and American elements to celebrate Harry and Meghan’s union!

Kensington Palace also wrote that the invitations also feature the “Three-Feathered Badge of the Prince of Wales printed in gold ink.” The invitations were made by Barnard and Westwood, which, according to Yahoo! News, has the “Royal Warrant for Printing & Bookbinding by Appointment to Her Majesty The Queen” since 1985, along with another royal warrant with the Prince of Wales.

The invitations were completed by Lottie Small, who, Kensington Palace wrote, recently completed her apprenticeship with Barnard and Westwood. Small printed the royal invitations in a process known as die stamping on a machine made in the 1930s, Yahoo! News reports.

Austen Kopley, managing director at Barnard and Westwood, said of the making of the invitations, “We are incredibly honoured to continue our longstanding work for The Royal Family, and to be involved in such an important moment for the couple and their family and friends.”

“The wedding of Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle will be a truly special occasion and we are thrilled to be able to create equally special invitations for their guests,” Kopley added.

According to PEOPLE, the 600 guests that received invitations will also be joining the newly weds for a luncheon hosted by the Queen at St. George’s Hall at Windsor Castle.

Later that evening, around 200 guests are invited to join the couple for a private reception hosted by Prince Harry’s father at Frogmore House, which is where the couple took their engagement photos, PEOPLE reports.

In the meantime, I'll be patiently waiting to receive my invitation.
