Prince Harry Is Creating a BBC Radio Special & He Interviewed Barack Obama for It

It’s no secret that Prince William and Prince Harry are pretty tight with the Obamas. Former President Barack Obama visited Prince Harry while in London earlier this year, and the photos of Obama meeting a bathrobe-wearing Prince George with Harry and William nearby are true treasures. Recently, Harry also visited Chicago students with former First Lady Michelle Obama at his side. Obama has particularly continued his bromance with the royals by collaborating with Harry for a special edition of the U.K.’s Radio 4’s Today program, set to air on Dec. 27, PEOPLE reports. These two seem so close that we might as well start sending Michelle links to hats she can wear at the royal wedding next year.

Kensington Palace announced on Sunday that Harry will guest edit this special edition of the BBC News radio program. He’s not the first royal to take on an editing project with a media outlet — in 2016, Kate Middleton guest edited Huffington Post U.K. to focus on children’s mental health. For his turn as guest boss, Harry interviewed Obama about their mutual interest in “building platforms for the next generation of young leaders.”

The duo reportedly recorded their conversation in September when they were both in Toronto for the Invictus Games (where we also got a major hint of how serious Harry and Meghan Markle’s relationship was). Kensington Palace also released a sneak peek of the discussion, posting a behind-the-scenes video of the two joking about Obama using a British accent for the talk.

He may not be in the White House any more, but I’m so glad that Obama has kept up this adorable partnership with Harry and the other royals. Here’s hoping that the two have a double date with Michelle and Meghan in tow before the big wedding rolls around.
