Trump Sets Date for Meeting With North Korea

In what will likely be a historic meeting following the release of three American hostages from North Korea, President Trump confirmed Thursday to the New York Times that his meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un would take place June 12 in Singapore. According to the Times, Singapore was selected for the meeting since it is 3,000 miles from Pyongyang and not an ally of the U.S. like other possible meeting locations, such as South Korea, Japan or the Philippines, are.

Cindy McCain Responds to White House Aide's Joke About Her Husband's Illness

When White House aide Kelly Sadler joked on Thursday that Republican Sen. John McCain's opposition to CIA director nominee Gina Haspel didn't matter because "He’s dying anyway," it was...not a good look. McCain is currently fighting an aggressive form of brain cancer, so it's no wonder that his wife, Cindy McCain was furious when she heard of Sadler's comments — and took to Twitter to respond directly.

According to the Huffington Post, Sadler reportedly called later in the day to apologize to McCain's daughter Meghan, who will reportedly respond to the comment on tomorrow's episode of The View.

Google's New Robot Reportedly Sounds *Very* Human

According to BuzzFeed News, Google's new artificial intelligence-powered robot Duplex, which is designed to make phone calls for everything from restaurant reservations to haircut appointments, sounds scarily human. Duplex is so realistic that Google is reportedly working on a disclosure for it to make at the beginning of calls to let the human on the other end know that they're speaking to a robot. So that's terrifying.
