Florida Had A Fake Zombie Alert Go Out During A Power Outage & It’s Very Florida TBH

In the wee hours of Sunday morning on May 20th, a strange alert was sent to the residents of Lake Worth, Florida.

While experiencing a power outage, a message was sent to those in the area that in addition to the downed power, there was also “extreme zombie activity” going on, The Hill reports.

The Guardian continues that while the message was sent out to Lake Worth, it also warned those of Terminus that they were under the threat of zombie activity as well. While residents of Lake Worth were likely confused, those of Terminus were less surprised as it’s a fictitious town from the popular zombie drama The Walking Dead.

The alert said that the power outage was due to the zombie activity and that the “restoration time is uncertain.”

Ben Kerr, a city spokesman, released a statement that said that he wanted ““reiterate that Lake Worth does not have any zombie activity currently.”

At this time, no one knows what truly caused the power outage or who is responsible for this message.
