Are You Ready to “Dislike” Posts on Facebook?

Mark Zuckerberg revealed Tuesday that a Facebook “dislike” button is in the works.

During a question and answer session, Zuckerberg said that the feature is close to being ready for testing, according to CNBC. He clarified that the button should be used to empathize, not to be a jerk.

“We don’t want to turn Facebook into a forum where people are voting up or down on people’s posts,” Zuckerberg said at the session. “That doesn’t seem like the kind of community that we want to create: You don’t want to go through the process of sharing some moment that was important to you in your day and have someone ‘downvote’ it.”

What do you think, collegiettes? Would you use a “dislike” button? And would you want other people to use it on you?
