HC Parties in the USA (or Harvard Square…)

Newsflash to the world: Her Campus THROWS DOWN.

Last Wednesday, we took over Club Oberon in Harvard Square and hosted a sick bash for all our fabulous readers and friends. It didn’t hurt that we paired with British fashion company, Jack Wills, and their awesome team of promoters touring the East Coast! From the glow-in-the-dark VIP sunglasses to our sassy little HC tees, we were rolling in style. Then again, I spent most of the night bundled up in my jacket as I was on VIP section-selling duty. But even from my little stool in the corner next the the front door where frigid air was blowing on me for hours, I had a baller time. And of course I managed to take a break long enough to pose for a few pics. What good is a night out if there isn’t any visual documentation?!

This is Chandler (my Juicy sister who came from NYC just for the party!), our amazing boss Nick, and me! Rockin’ the VIP glasses of course.

Chandler and me… she’s seriously the cutest, bubbliest, happiest person ever! I love her so much! I’m definitely going to have to go visit her in NYC… a.k.a. good stories to come!

And finally, Nick and me! (This picture is actually from the next night when he came into the city and partied on BU territory!)

My name is Maura Murphy and I am a junior at Boston University with a working major in advertising. I am a sister in Delta Gamma and, more recently, one of the three new Juicy sisters! I love Juicy Couture because the brand is fashionable but unique, which fits my personality perfectly. I like to fit in, but I also like to stand out and Juicy apparel helps me to look my finest at all times while doing just that.

My interests include traveling, shopping and cooking. I am an avid Boston Celtics fan and played basketball for 11 years. I am outgoing, adventurous and passionate. I adore getting dressed up and hitting the town, but also love the nights in with my roommates, spent watching Friends in our pajamas.

Gale Sayers once said, “I learned that if you want to make it bad enough, no matter how bad it is, you can make it." I use this quote to focus on the goals I have in life and how to achieve them. I believe that despite any obstacle life throws at you, passion and determination can drive you to the top, so long as you are willing to work for success.

That’s all I have for now, but if you’d ever like to know more – just ask!

Ciao,

Maura
