It’s no secret that there is a lack of diversity in Hollywood, with celebrities like Zendaya regularly voicing their opinions on the issue. But it looks like things might be taking a turn for her and Hollywood, as Deadline revealed yesterday that Zendaya has landed a major leading lady role in the upcoming Spider-Man reboot. The publication reports that she will be playing a key character named Michelle. There is no word yet on whether or not Zendaya will be playing Tom Holland’s (a.k.a. Spider-Man’s) on-screen love, but many insist the details we have thus far make it unlikely.
The currently untitled project is expected to come out some time in 2017, but we already know this is a movie you will not want to miss.
