This Would Make 74% of People Cancel Their Netflix Subscriptions

A recent survey of more than 1,200 Reddit users revealed that 74 percent of Netflix users would cancel their subscription to the online streaming service if it ran ads. As a disclaimer, Netflix currently has no plans to do the unthinkable but… wow, that’s a strong response!

Netflix, also known as bae, surpasses similar services like Hulu and HBO Now by the millions when it comes to paying subscribers. Worldwide, Netflix’s subscription base includes approximately 70 million people, with 40 million subscribers in the U.S. alone—that’s almost five times as much as Hulu’s national count.

What sets the love of our life apart from the rest is, of course, that there are absolutely no ads. Not a single one. And although that’s not likely to change in the near future, there have been other changes to the service that haven’t been received with a great deal of love, like the recent $2 price hike. Still, 90 percent of Netflix users would prefer to pay more for the service than be forced to mute intermittent ads while they binge watch the latest season of Orange is the New Black

This proves that you can’t put a price on happiness… or binge watching, which is basically the same thing.
