Why One Direction is Totally Fine Without Zayn

Let’s face it, One Direction is the boyband of the decade. Up until this year, the band had every kind of guy you could want: the flirt, the funny one, the sensitive one, the bad boy and the Irishman (who doesn’t love a good Irish man? Hello, Gerard Butler!). Anyone who is anyone knows who they are and 90% of the population secretly likes them. But then we all got our hearts broken when Zayn Malik (the bad boy) decided to leave the band. While we all mourned the loss, here’s why One Direction is doing just fine without him.

We can’t deny that they looked great as a fivesome…

…But as a foursome, they still look amazing.

And as great as this group selfie is…

…Their first-ever group selfie without Zayn looks even better (sorry not sorry).

We also know we can’t deny Zayn singing sounded like angels singing…

…but him being gone gives others a chance for more solos.

And while we may miss Zayn’s crazy hair styles on stage…

We still get to watch Harry make his man bun.

And we all know Zayn was fun to be around…

…But that doesn’t mean they can’t have just as much fun without him.

Then there was Zayn’s bad dancing and hate for it that always overshadowed everyone else’s…

So now we can watch the other boys more closely.

So now that the resident bad boy of the group is gone,

We guess this means one of these guys is going to have to take his place!

Sorry Niall girls, but we don’t think he could really fill the position, he’s wayyyyyy too adorable.

And Louis may have the tattoos, but we really need him to keep being the funny one.

Then there’s Liam, who sure can rock the bad boy snapback-and-tattoos look.

Or Harry…

But despite many fanfictions, that smile just screams “I’m an adorable, flirty guy who apologizes to dogs after I trip over them.”

While One Direction was awesome with all five guys, we love them with the four that are left, too. Without Zayn, they’re still touring, releasing a fifth album, and it looks like Liam gets to take the reigns as the bad boy of the group! We’ll always watch the ‘Night Changes’ video and wish Zayn sat across from us at the table and we’ll always wish he would ask us “vas happenin’?!” But life moves on, and up is really the only one direction to go in!

She hopes to get into publishing and/or editing after she graduates, but right now she spends her free time binge watching television shows on Netflix, being a loyal (yet frustrated) Giants fan, reading books, spending her paychecks on coffee and daydreaming of traveling the world. In five years she sees herself living in New York City where she'll meet her soulmate by either awkwardly running into him or fighting over who gets the last pair of black gloves at Bloomingdale's. Although, maybe that last part just shows she's too obsessed with the movie Serendipity.
