What Ryan Reynolds Said About Blake Lively at the Met Gala Will Give You Heart Eyes for Days

Prepare yourself because you're about to become even more obsessed with Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. The power couple have constantly gushed about each other in the past, but Ryan had some pretty remarkable things to say about his wife at Monday night's Met Gala.

The parents of two daughters reached the ultimate level of couple goals when Brandon Stanton, the talented photographer behind Humans of New York, captured a sweet moment between the pair. The photo was posted on the famous photoblog's Instagram. Lively stuns in a gold, feathered Versace gown as her hubby wears a blue bow tie to match. The color-coordinating couple took a break from the red carpet action to pose, sporting adorably dorky smiles for Stanton's portrait.

Ryan's heartwarming message about Blake starts, "She always responds with empathy. She meets anger with empathy. She meets hate with empathy. She’ll take the time to imagine what happened to a person when they were 5 or 6 years old. And she’s made me a more empathetic person."

Aside from the fact that the duo is wearing thousands of dollars worth of the fashion industry's best attire, the candid photo proves the celebrity couple is just like anybody else on the HONY feed. Similar to the thousands of other people featured on the account, Reynolds and Lively have a touching story to share.

"I had a very fractured relationship with my father," Ryan admits of him and his dad, who passed away in 2015. "Before he died, she made me remember things I didn’t want to remember. She made me remember the good times.”

Along with the almost 1 million other people who liked this on Instagram, we just can't get enough.
