From Posh Spice to wife and mother, Victoria Beckham has been a pop culture icon for decades, and after taking many direct hits over the years, she’s admitted to some of the hard truths and emotions that come with fame. Cosmopolitan reports that in a letter to her 18-year-old self, the fashionista recalls the insecurities, bullying and distress of her youth and owns up to her plastic surgery regrets.
For years Beckham denied rumors that she had breast implants, but eventually she told the truth in a 2014 interview with Allure magazine. Now she’s reflecting on her decision to go under the knife.
In the letter printed by British Vogue, she writes, “And I should probably say, don’t mess with your boobs. All those years I denied it—stupid. A sign of insecurity. Just celebrate what you’ve got.”
