Vanessa Hudgens & Ashley Tisdale Will Be Friends Literally Forever

Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale may have left their High School Musical days behind them long ago—well, only nine years ago—but their BFF status is still going strong.

In an interview with Women’s Health, Hudgens revealed that she’s “a loyal person.” She’s been in a devoted relationship with her boyfriend, Austin Butler, for the past six years, but she has another lasting relationship we’re interested in: her friendship with Tisdale. “She’s one of those girlfriends who will be my friend forever,” Hudgens said.

Actions speak louder than words, though. In recent months, Tisdale and Hudgens have made it abundantly clear just how much they appreciate each other’s company.

After all, Tisdale named one of the eyeshadows in her Goddess eyeshadow palette “Nessa” after Hudgens. In a video about her eyeshadow palette, Tisdale told her fans, “The names were actually inspired by my girlfriends and all the goddesses in my life.” Aww! Though we have to wonder, what does it take for a girl to get into Tisdale’s squad of goddesses?

Plus, there was also that time Tisdale and Hudgens covered Elle King’s song “Ex’s and Oh’s” on Tisdale’s YouTube channel. While Sharpay and Gabriella never got the duet they deserved in the HSM trilogy, Tisdale and Hudgens’ very first duet was amazing, as expected. We hope this won’t be the BFFs’ last singing collaboration.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Hudgens explained that she would love to work with Tisdale again. “Things are a little busy right now with Powerless, but somewhere down the line it would be so much fun.”

Last month, Hudgens told E! Online that she probably won’t be making an appearance in the upcoming High School Musical 4. “I could be a teacher, but I refuse to be a teacher! I’m still a teenager at heart. So probably not with me, but I’m excited to see what they whip together,” Hudgens explained.

While it sounds like Hudgens and Tisdale likely won’t pop up in HSM 4, we can’t wait to see these two work on another project together. Until then, Hudgens and Tisdale are still giving us major friendship goals.
