Tyler, the Creator Is Going Off on His Fans After They Booed Drake Offstage

Drake officially has a reason to be “in his feelings” after being booed off the stage at Tyler, the Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw music festival this past weekend. The lineup, which included other headliners like Solange, 21 Savage and YG, had been released over two months ago, and on the day of the concert Drake showed up as the mystery headliner that had been kept under wraps.

According to Variety, there had been speculation that Thinking About You singer Frank Ocean would actually be the headliner reveal (because he’s a known close friend of Tyler, the Creator). When that didn’t happen, Drake was effectively booed off the stage. After noticing the crowd’s dissatisfaction during his few songs, Drake asked his fans if it was chill for him to keep performing. The response was a resounding no, so he kindly smiled and walked off. And let me be clear here, there are like… many videos of this whole incident posted online.

Truly, my heart breaks for the Champagne Papi. We literally “started from the bottom” with Drizzy Drake and now we’re here. After the event, Drake took to Instagram with a lighthearted post making a jab at the fans. “Plot twist… just signed a 10-year residency at Camp Flog Gnaw. Sorry kids see you every year till you are 30,” he wrote in the caption. How’s that for real?

Tyler, the Creator voiced his frustration directly with his fan base through a series of twelve tweets on his official Twitter page.

He called it “cancel culture” IRL.

Needless to say, the man went off. Before Tyler, the Creator signed off, he also made sure to change the bio on his profile to “Embarrassed by fans right now.” Yikes. But he still made sure to thank Drake for showing up for his first (and I’m going to assume last) performance at Camp Flog Gnaw.

After the news surfaced on Twitter, fans took the opportunity to laugh at the entirety of the situation via lots of memes.

Again, I’m so sorry Drake. Talk soon?
