All our dreams are coming true, because Toy Story 4 is in the making. At the recent D23 Expo, Disney’s John Lasseter confirmed that a fourth installment in the beloved Toy Story series is on its way. While we’re not sure that Toy Story 3 can be topped, Lasseter assured audiences that the new animated film will go in a different direction. Set to be released on June 16, 2017, Toy Story 4 will focus on Woody and Bo Peep’s relationship.
“It’s a love story with Woody and—and this is news—Bo Peep… At Pixar and at Disney, we only make sequels if we come up with a story that’s as good or better than the original. That’s our rule,” Lasseter promised.
We always wondered why Bo Peep wasn’t in Toy Story 3, and we’re excited for her return. She and Woody are basically meant to be, so this is one relationship we can get behind. Now it’s time to re-watch the first three movies in preparation for when the fourth film hits theaters!
