Billboard just announced the findings from its annual report, which ranks the top-earning musical artists of the past year, and unless you’ve been under a rock for the last twelve months, it won’t come as a surprise who took the #1 spot. The one and only Taylor Swift earned the distinction of being the highest paid musician of 2015.
In 2014, she was ranked 15th at $13.26 million; she skyrocketed to $73.5 million in 2015. The monumental spike in earnings can definitely be attributed to Swift’s 1989 World Tour, which ran from May to December of 2015.
Even though Taylor is currently on a much deserved break, she is still killing it in the music industry (have you seen those Apple Music commercials?) and her personal life (we admire Tay’s social media PDA with boyfriend Calvin Harris on the daily). It’s safe to say that no matter what she does next she will continue to slay.
