The Spice Girls Are Officially Going On A Reunion Tour & I Want Tickets Immediately

First came the Backstreet Boys, and now the Spice Girls—it looks like the best parts of ’90s music are here to bless us again in 2018.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Melanie Brown, aka Mel B., aka Scary Spice, appeared on The Today Show this morning and had quite the surprise for Spice Girl fans: they’re officially going to tour again!

“We are touring!” Brown said, which, uh, sounds pretty official to me. “I’m the only one that keeps on saying, ‘We’re gonna be performing,’ which we are gonna be performing. Finally they got it together.”

She’s certainly right about being the “only one”—in fact, Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice, even outright said in a Vogue interview a couple months ago that “I’m not going on tour. The girls aren’t going on tour.”

But it looks like a reunion really is in the cards, if Brown is to be believed. This has been a long time coming, and speculation has been wild since people thought the Spice Girls might perform at Harry and Meghan’s royal wedding (sadly just a rumor). Beckham also posted a reunion photo on Instagram in February, which sparked a bunch of rumors about the girl group coming together again.

Love my girls!!! So many kisses!!! X Exciting x #friendshipneverends #girlpower

Brown claims that the girls’ original manager, Simon Fuller, is also back on board with them. Personally, all this conflicting information makes me want to wait for a second confirmation from another Spice Girl before I start celebrating, but I’m definitely going to start saving up for tickets now.
