Oprah Winfrey’s powerful acceptance speech for the Cecil B. DeMille award at the 75th Golden Globes earlier this month sparked a social media frenzy and forced everyone to speculate whether she was running for President in 2020.
But despite Gayle King — Oprah’s longtime BFF — saying Oprah was “intrigued” by the idea of running, it’s quickly become clear that’s not the case.
In an interview with InStyle for the March cover, Oprah said she doesn’t think she has what it takes to run the country.
“I’ve always felt very secure and confident with myself in knowing what I could do and what I could not. And so it’s not something that interests me,” she said. “I don’t have the DNA for it.”
