Before Justin Bieber came into the picture, another male celeb had Selena Gomez’s heart. Back in the mid-2000s, the Miley-Selena-Nick “love triangle” was the hottest gossip you could get. Miley Cyrus had dated Nick Jonas from 2006-2007, and after things ended with them, Selena and Nick began dating in 2008.
Of course, this drama made publications and most people assume that Miley and Selena were in a fued over the Jonas Brother. (Let’s be real—whenever given the chance, the media will pit female celebrities against each other.) After 7 years, Selena is finally telling the world how the girls really felt about what happened.
In W magazine’s March issue, Selena says, “We never feuded. We both liked the same guy when we were 16. It was just a Hilary Duff-Lindsay Lohan thing: ‘Oh, my God, we like the same boy!’ We are now completely settled in our own lives.”

The “Hands to Myself” singer also mentioned that, despite the differences in their styles, she’s definitely a fan of Miley Cyrus. “Obviously, she wouldn’t want to be doing what I’m doing, and I wouldn’t want to be doing what she’s doing. But I’m a fan of her music—I don’t know if she’d say that about me.”
