All right, Olivia Pope fans, the night we’ve all been waiting for is finally here: Scandal is back! Our favorite Gladiators in Suits will be back to managing crises and making new scandals when Season 3 premieres tonight on ABC.
What should Scandal fans know about the new season? Kerry Washington told Good Morning America this morning that fans wouldn’t be waiting long to find out more about Season 2’s cliffhanger ending, when Olivia Pope discovers that Joe Morton’s character is her father.
“That is exactly where we start this season premiere, is in the car my dad and I,” she said. “Every week it’s a rollercoaster ride, and we all feel really lucky to be on this show. …We have the most amazing writers, and they are still going for it.”
According to Kerry, this season will also focus the aftermath of the affair leak, when America discovered that Olivia Pope is mistress to President Grant. But there’s not much else the Scandal cast is willing to reveal about the new season—at least, not much they are willing to admit is true, as seen when The Huffington Post played Two Truths and a Lie with the cast members.
