After months of rumors, French actor Olivier Martinez has finally confirmed that he’s engaged to Halle Berry.
“Yes, of course it’s true,” he told The Miami Herald while promoting his new South Beach restaurant Villa Azur.
The two became an item off-screen when they met on the set of Dark Tide in 2010. Berry’s emerald engagement ring was designed by Robert Mazlo of Paris. Martinez told the paper that Mazlo is “a real artist” whose family has designed jewelry for “kings and queens for many centuries.” Mazlo told People the engagement ring “symbolizes the couple’s story.” The bauble features a 4-carat emerald and two diamonds in a yellow gold setting.
Berry has been married twice before. Maybe the third time’s the charm?
