We couldn’t be more excited for the release of J.K. Rowling’s new book-to-movie adaptation, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Originally published as a fictional textbook in 2001, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them can be found on Harry Potter’s school supply list in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. The book details the history of magical beasts in the HP world and also includes notes scribbled in the margins by Harry, Ron and Hermione.
The film, however, will mainly focus on the life of the textbook’s author, Newt Scamander, and is set about 70 years before Harry Potter’s story begins.
But true Harry Potter fans are probably already aware of all these details and are really just here to watch the fresh footage. This new trailer, which was released during Sunday night’s MTV Movie Awards, has us all kinds of pumped for the film’s November release. Check it out below:
