After a false alarm last week, when Michael Bublé’s wife, Luisana Lopilata, spent a full seven hours in labour, Michael is on baby watch as he waits for his first born child. He said to the AP on Wednesday that they are expecting the child at any moment, especially after last week’s drama.
He has been quoted as saying that it’s a difficult time for his wife, since in addition to the obvious worries about having her first child, she’s not a native Canadian, and English is not her first language. He says that he is “her whole family here, so she’s got a good support system”.
The singer is sticking by his wife and staying in Canada while she waits to go into labour (again!). Michael cancelled his planned appearance on the Today show, citing that he didn’t want to leave his wife as the reason for the unexpected cancellation. What a good husband!
Michael told ET Canada, “I’m about 15-20 minutes away from home. Just in case anything happens, I’m there,” Cute!
I think we can all agree that we expect this to be a very attractive baby: just look at his parents! Luisana looked stunning on Monday when she attended a friend’s wedding with Michael on Monday (photo shown above).
The couple have expressed just how excited they are about the birth of their first son. Michael has said: ‘The truth is, I don’t know what to expect, because obviously I’ve never expected before, so I’m just really actually enjoying it.
‘Neither one of us are anxious, we’re just excited. We can’t wait to know what it’s like, we can’t wait to meet this little guy.’
