Megan Fox Just Admitted She Dated Shia LaBeouf During Their Time On 'Transformers' & My Heart Just Went Whoosh

It’s pretty safe to say that most movie fans get a kick out of hearing that two actors from their favorite movie or show had chemistry both on and off the screen. From The Last Song’s Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth to Green Lantern’s Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, everyone loves a good showmance, even if they’re rarely built to last. And one showmance that’s been speculated about for quite some time is none other than Megan Fox and Shia LaBeouf.

Fox and LaBeouf co-starred in 2007’s Transformers, as well as its sequel, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Though Fox was not included in later films due to controversy with director Michael Bay, she clearly made an impact on the franchise and, according to Marie Claire, sparked dating rumors because of her undeniable chemistry with LaBeouf. Now, we're finding out for the first time—directly from Fox herselfthat the rumors were true.

While appearing on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live, host Andy Cohen put Fox in the hot seat with a game of “Plead the Fifth,” where she was only allowed to back out (or, well, “plead the fifth”) of one question. Looking to get the best sound bites, Cohen’s questions didn’t hold back, but Fox kept her cool—even when it came to her rumored relationship with LaBeouf.

When asked how she would characterize her relationship with him, Fox hesitated for a moment before confidently saying, “I would confirm that it was romantic. I love him. I have never been really quiet about that. I love him.” That’s all we needed to hear before getting hearts for eyes.

It’s, of course, been over 10 years since Transformers was filmed and both Fox and LaBeouf have moved on (Fox is married to Brian Austin Green). Fox even agreed that it was only a showmance. Still, like I said before: everyone loves a good showmance.
