Leslie Jones Just Brought Her Twitter Drama to the Emmys

Leslie Jones just brought her Twitter drama to the Emmys—in hilarious fashion, of course. As they do every year, the boring accountants of Ernst & Young took the stage to tout their high-security methods of selecting and protecting the Emmy results. That’s when SNL funny-lady Jones stepped in to rail on the guys for guarding something that no one cares about stealing, rather than, say, her Twitter account and nude photos.

She demanded that they use their skills to put her Twitter—which, as many know, has been the source of much unnecessary and downright cruel cyberbullying for the comedian—in the vault. As she put it, “Y’all over here using your skills to protect ‘Best Voiceover in a French Sitcom.’ Meanwhile, I’m butt naked on CNN.”

While we know Leslie’s bit was meant to give us major laughs (it totally did, btw), nothing was better than the fantastic point she made in closing. “I just wanted to feel beautiful, y’all. Can’t a sister feel beautiful?”

Um, YES, Leslie! You have every right to feel beautiful, as does any woman. You keep doing you, and we’ll keep following your lead!
