We always knew Kim Kardashian’s robbery was a nightmare, but the harrowing details revealed by French newspaper Le Journal du Dimanche have elevated the incident to a terrifying level. The newspaper leaked excerpts from the police report Kardashian submitted after her Paris Fashion Week robbery.
According to a translation by People, Kardashian was on her laptop in her hotel room when she heard footsteps outside the door.
“I shouted, asking, ‘Who’s there?'” Kim reportedly said. “No one answered. I called my bodyguard at 2:56 a.m. Through the door, I saw two people arrive, plus the night man who was tied up.” The security guard was coerced to let the robbers, who were dressed as police officers, into Kim’s room.
One of the men, who wore ski goggles, demanded to know where Kim kept her $4 million ring—a present from her husband, Kanye West, that she’d previously displayed on Instagram. At first, Kim refused to comply, but when the man pulled out a gun, she had no choice but to give him the ring.
“They grabbed me and took me into the hallway. I was wearing a bathrobe, naked underneath. Then we went in the room again, and they pushed me on the bed. And, it was this time, they tied me up with plastic cables and taped my hands, then they put tape over my mouth and my legs,” she continued.
Absolutely horrifying. In total, the robbers stole about $5 million of Kim’s possessions and left her unharmed but traumatized. Thankfully, Kim has started to speak out about her experiences—a sign that, hopefully, she is back to herself.
