Believe it or not, it has been three years since Katy Perry released her third album, Prism. Earlier this year, she released her latest song, “Rise,” for the Olympics—but that simply wasn’t enough. The world is long overdue for another album, and it looks like 2017 could be the year Katy releases something huge. Lately, Katy has been busy dropping mysterious clues on her social media accounts, alluding to a big surprise she has on the way for fans.
If you’ve taken a peek at Katy’s Twitter profile, you’ll notice that her header and profile photo are both blank. This is the first of many hints that something suspicious is happening.
Her Instagram stories have been full of more revealing hints. In a four-second video, Katy is seen in a recording studio as a track with her vocals plays in the background.
