What’s going on with the 19 Kids and Counting family lately? Well, Anna Duggar, 24, and her husband Josh, 25, announced on Monday’s Today show that they’re expecting a third child. Little Mackenzie, 3, and her baby brother Michael, 21 months, can expect another sibling in June! If you haven’t been keeping up with the Duggars lately, Josh is one of Jim Bob and Michelle’s sons, and he is continuing the family tradition of having babies. According to Hollywood Life, the couple hinted on Today that Baby No. 3 is probably going to have an M name, like his or her older siblings.
“It is very exciting,” Josh tells People. “It’s fun for Michael and Mackenzie being so close in age and this baby will be too. We feel very blessed and happy.” The Duggar brood recently went to Asia for their new reality series 19 Kids and Counting Duggars Do Asia, which will be on the small screen tonight at 9 p.m. EST on TLC, and Anna learned that she was pregnant two weeks after returning home to the U.S.
Anna and Josh have been married since September 26, 2008. The couple met while at an ATI Home Educators Conference with their parents. “My siblings and I enjoyed meeting Josh,” Anna recalls on their website. She’d seen Josh on TV and became intrigued because of his Christian values, similar upbringing and dedication to sexual purity. Her family must have noticed the blossoming interest and reunited the teenagers by visiting the Duggars. The two families stayed in touch, but Anna and Josh never officially dated. Josh recalls, “I wanted to make our engagement very special, and I knew the Keller family would be coming to Arkansas a few days after Anna’s 20th birthday.” He asked her father’s permission, and the rest is happening live on TV!
