ICYMI: VMA Nominees Announced, Celebrity Twitter Explodes

Celebrity Smackdown! The 2015 MTV Video Music Awards nominees were released on Tuesday, July 21, however it seems the entertainment industry isn't quite celebrating. Moments after the nomination list was made public, Twitter erupted into a series of celebrity feuds. In case you haven't had time in the last 24 hours to stalk your favorite celebs' social media feeds to see who's weighing in on the drama, we've got you covered. Here's what happened:

Nicki Minaj expressed disappointment that her videos "Anaconda" and "Feeling Myself" weren't nominated for Video of the Year, the shows biggest award. She took her frustrations, and feelings of racism and body-shaming from MTV, to Twitter and Instagram.

In defense of the "Anaconda" video's unique choreography and cultual impact, Minaj referenced a viral parody that Ellen Degeneres did of the video earlier this year.

Taylor Swift, who is nominated for nine VMAs this year, responded to the rapper, letting her know that she felt that Minaj's tweets "pit women against each other." Although Swift's tweets have since been deleted, they were up long enough to get a response from the "Super Bass" performer and millions of fans watching the drama play out.

While Drake has yet to respond, celebrities (and fans) (and everyone else) are waiting to see how the rapper responds

While others, like Bruno Mars and Ed Sheeran, just want to get in on the action.

We'll keep you updated as this story progresses. We're not sure how all of these feuds will end, but with all of these stars together under one roof with Miley Cyrus hosting, we're sure it'll be a show we can't miss.
