Will Camilla Luddington’s real-life pregnancy be written into Jo Wilson’s storyline on Grey’s Anatomy? This question is technically up for debate because there has been no official word from the show. But Camilla did drop a few hints in a recent interview with TVLine.
“As of right now they are definitely hiding it,” the actress revealed. “The struggle has just started.”
But because of the unpredictability of the ABC series, this could certainly change during the season, Luddington admitted. “We have a lot more episodes to go this season, and these things can get sprung on us at a table read, so I really can’t say for sure if it will stay that way.”
This wouldn’t be the first time a baby bump was kept under wraps on a Shonda Rhimes series. When fellow Shondaland star Kerry Washington was pregnant, the IRL development wasn’t included in her character arc, and her baby bump was hidden during shooting.
Jo’s storyline could go either way, and for now it’s looking like a little one won’t be on the way for the doc. But can’t you just picture Jo with a baby? Never say never.
