‘Harry Potter’ Star Matthew Lewis Married Girlfriend Angela Jones

“Harry Potter” star Matthew Lewis, aka Neville Longbottom, is officially married.

The actor announced on social media on Monday that he wed his girlfriend, Angela Jones, in Italy over the weekend, PEOPLE reports. Lewis joked that the wedding kept him from seeing his favorite band live after having missed them perform in Los Angeles.

“Not only did I miss @ArcticMonkeys in LA but they were performing in Italy at the same time we were there and my wife made me get married instead. Fuming,” Lewis joked, also sharing a beautiful photo of the newlyweds. The actor also shared the photo on his Instagram account with a British and American flag as the caption, as Jones grew up in Florida, The Huffington Post reports.

“Harry Potter” co-star Tom Felton, aka Draco Malfoy, congratulated Lewis, writing, “Top lad xx.”

The couple definitely has the most perfect meet-cute ever. According to PEOPLE, he two met at an event at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park in Orlando, Florida, where Jones worked, in January 2016. They began dating in July 2016, and the two reportedly got engaged at the Eiffel Tower in Paris in November 2016.

“They’re both over the moon. They got together in July and hit it off straight away,” a representative for the couple told E! News after the engagement.

“I never believed in soul mates until we met,” Jones had wrote on her blog. “We came from two different countries, 4,334 miles apart, and yet we were one and the same. A few months after meeting, he proposed to me in Paris during my first trip abroad. Yes, it’s been that kind of fairytale thing. We’ve travelled to some incredible places since and I’ve learned to appreciate different cultures, food, people and politics. I’ve especially learned to embrace British culture, whether I’ve fancied it or not.”

Call it fate, or a love potion, but their love story is just the most perfect story ever. Congratulations to the newlyweds!
