Take a deep breath, everyone—according to Gabby Douglas, the Final Five are “all over.”
“I’m in L.A., Simone’s in Houston, Aly is in Boston, so it’s not like we’ve been together, we were just picked and chosen for a very special moment,” she tells Us Weekly. “We’ve known each other because we’ve been training and competing against each other for a long time, but after the Olympics, it’s kind of like everyone scattered. People are not contracted to stay together, we’re just there for a job and then everyone kind of does their own thing.”
We might like to picture the ladies hanging out on the regular, but that just isn’t the case. This is a sad reality, but we’ll never forget the glory the Final Five brought us in the 2016 Rio Olympics. We can’t wait to see where they end up next.
