There’s no doubt that Emma Watson has captured all of our hearts with her beauty, intelligence and kindness, both on and off the screen. We absolutely adored watching her grow up from her Harry Potter days to her most recent role as Belle in Beauty and the Beast. Could anyone be more perfect?
I think I speak for almost everyone when I say that we as women love to think of Emma as one of our greatest role models. But the actress isn’t exactly comfortable with that label.
Talking to Jessica Chastain for Interview magazine, Emma admits, “When people call me a role model it puts the fear of God into me because I feel like I’m destined to fail.”
Emma Watson? Scared? Although that doesn’t even seem possible, it’s important to remember Emma is human—she’s not perfect or immune to failure. That she was willing to share this makes her even more of a role model. (Just don’t tell her we said so!)
