Potterheads and Gleeks. Both identify with a crew of lovable misfits. Both are seriously dedicated to their tribe, whether it be Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, or McKinley High School’s New Directions.
Today, they have something to unite over. Cosmopolitan reports that Hermoine Granger and Sam Evans… fine, Emma Watson and Chord Overstreet, were spotted leaving the Vanity Fair Oscar party together last Sunday.
Rumors had been swirling for a long time about Emma’s link to Chord. A source confirmed to Page Six, “…yes, they are seeing each other, although Emma wants to keep things quiet and private.” Totally understandable and respectable.
One picture of the pair holding hands has since surfaced and it’s ADORABLE! But if Emma and Chord want to keep their love lives private, they absolutely deserve all the respect we can give them.
Since Glee and the Harry Potter movies wrapped up, Emma has continued acting, most notably in last year’s live-action Beauty and the Beast, but has been mainly focusing on gender equality activism (she’s currently a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations). Meanwhile, Chord has been working on his music career, having released his EP Tree House Tapes and a single called “Hold On” in 2017.
Since Chord is a Glee alum and we know Emma can sing from Beauty and the Beast, it makes sense that music united them. According to HelloGiggles, the two were seen at a Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats concert in February.
