Drugs Found on Justin Bieber's Tour Bus

Bieber's tour bus was pulled over by U.S. Border Agents as it was crossing the Canadian border into Detroit from Windsor, Canada, since marijuana was found on board. However, Kenneth Hammond, chief officer and public liaison for U.S. Customs and Border Protection in Detroit, said to the Detroit Free Press that the singer was not on board the bus at the time. In fact, he performed later that Sunday night at Joe Louis arena.

Hammond also stated that a police dog had indicated the presence of drugs on the bus and that drug paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana had been found. The bus and its passengers were allowed to continue on their journey after the bus driver had been cited.

The Ambassador Bridge checkpoint is now developing a bit of a reputation for drug stops since Rihanna’s bus was stopped in the same place earlier on this year;  10 buses from her party were stopped and searched. One member of the tour was found to have cannabis in his possession and was also issued with a citation.

This is not the first time that Bieber’s tour bus has been stopped due to the scent of drugs. They were also stopped in April in Stockholm where the singer was given a warning after the scent of marijuana was detected on his bus.

On a tour that has been full of incidents and bad press for the singer, we can only wonder at what we’re going to hear next.
