One of the most candid voices on social media is Chrissy Teigen. She will go in on anyone from Donald Trump to sexist trolls, even if she isn’t the target of their ire. However now her tweets won’t be as easily accessible for some.
After the vice-presidential debate, Teigen switched her Twitter account to private, making it impossible for those who weren’t following her before to see her content (if you were a follower before Oct 5, you’re good). Before trolls start celebrating a victory, or whatever they do, she said that it wasn’t because of any particular thing that was tweeted or said to her. Instead she blames the bad vibes that come with social media in general.
When a fan noticed the change in her account, she replied confirming she had made it private and that she’s “not strong enough anymore.” In a separate tweet she said, “I just feel like I am absorbing bad shit 24/7. My body and mind cannot handle it anymore.”
This also comes a few days after she publicly defended her friend Kim Kardashian after people on the internet were grossly gleeful about Kardashian’s Paris robbery. If this makes Chrissy happy, then we’re all for it; and she seems to be enjoying herself (although, her follow requests are already in the 5,000s). Plus, her Instagram is still public, so don’t worry; we can all still fawn over baby Luna.
