Despite what we hope is evidence to the contrary, Drake’s dad is having none of the widespread speculation about a potential romance between Rihanna and his son.
Dennis Graham expressed his take on the relationship outside a Los Angeles club, where a TMZ reporter asked for his thoughts on the situtation. Dennis appeared unimpressed, stating, “They’re friends, they’ve been friends for years.”
Next, he was asked whether he was glad his son was settling down, but his response was yet another denial. “I don’t know about settling down,” he said. “No. They’re friends.”
The reporter wasn’t giving up, though. He even brought up Rihanna and Drake’s matching tattoos and billboard-sized notes of admiration. “Everyone’s professing love,” Graham replied, implying that, well, everyone buys billboards for their BFFs.
Even when pushed, Dennis stood by his claim. “There’s no relationship,” he said. “They’re friends.”
And that appears to be that (we think)—although no one said we can’t still dream.
