Beyoncé is First Pick to Voice Nala in ‘The Lion King’ Live-Action Remake

According to VarietyBeyoncé is Jon Favreau’s first pick to voice Nala in the live-action remake of The Lion King.

Who better to play Queen of the Jungle than Queen Bey herself? Donald Glover is already set to voice Simba, and the ball is in Beyoncé’s court regarding her part in the remake.

“Insiders stress that the Grammy winner has not made a decision regarding the film yet, as the star is pregnant with twins,” Variety says. “But since it’s a voice-acting role, sources say the studio and director will do whatever it takes to accommodate her schedule.”

We hope it works out. Something about Beyoncé as a lion is just so empowering.
