Ashley Benson May Not Be Returning to ‘Pretty Little Liars’ Next Season

After last week’s Pretty Little Liars finale, which had more stunning revelations and unanswered questions than we can count, we are impatiently waiting for the arrival of the show’s seventh season. In the last 30 seconds of the finale, we saw a quick glimpse of Hanna Marin’s (maybe?) dead body being dragged across the floor of the church where Charlotte was murdered. So, was this the series’ way of telling fans that Hanna will not be returning to Rosewood next season?

There’s no way any of this can be true, right? We’ve come to love Ashley Benson’s character in these past six years and eliminating Hanna could very well ruin the show.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Benson nonchalantly dished that it’s not totally out of the question for one of the Liars to be killed off. Even Marlene King—the show’s ingenious creator—hinted that Benson might not be returning. “You may not see me next season guys,” Benson added, jokingly (we think). This is not exactly what we want to be hearing right now.

If one of the most beloved PLLs leaves the series, then we basically have no reason to live. We’ve been fooled by this show before, though. Could Benson and King be toying with our emotions yet again? Sadly, all we can do is wait for the show to return and pray that we see Hanna Marin alive and well in season seven.
